Frost Solutions

You can protect crops from frost with several passive and active methods of protection.
The passive methods, such as the choice of terrain and variety of the cultivated crop, the way of irrigation, etc. can prevent or limit frost damage from radiation frost, whereas almost nothing can be done against advective frost. While active frost protection methods include activities that raise the temperature above the damage level and therefore affect the microclimate, such as wind machines, stoves and burners for orchards and vines and sprinkler sprinklers.
